STARTER KIT SETUP
Set Up the Amplifier and Two Core Shakers.
Use this guide to plan mounting, wiring and first-test steps for the Dual Tactile Starter Kit.
KIT CONTENTS
What's in the Kit
This guide focuses on basic mounting, wiring and first-test planning. Final package contents may vary by configuration.
BEFORE YOU START
Before You Start
- Choose rigid mounting points before wiring.
- Plan left / right or front / rear placement.
- Keep cables clear from hinges, moving parts and pinch points.
- Start with low output and increase gradually.
SETUP PATH
Setup Steps
Choose Mounting Positions
Plan where the two Core Shakers will transfer vibration into the structure.
Mount the Core Shakers
Fasten each transducer to a rigid surface using suitable hardware.
Connect the Two Core Shakers
Wire the transducers to the amplifier according to the supported configuration.
Connect Audio / Signal Input
Use a compatible input source and start with a controlled low-frequency signal.
Run the First Power Test
Begin at low output, listen for rattling and check heat after several minutes.
Choose Mounting Positions
The best location depends on the structure. Choose rigid points that can transfer tactile energy without flexing excessively.
- Simulator seat: left / right or seat / frame placement depending on structure.
- Sofa / chair: reinforced internal frame only.
- Platform: rigid wooden or metal structure.
- Avoid soft cushions, loose panels and foam-only mounting.
Mount the Two Core Shakers
Both transducers should sit flat against a rigid surface. Use appropriate fasteners for the mounting material.
- Keep each housing flat to the structure.
- Do not over-tighten into weak material.
- Leave clearance for cable exit and service access.
- Retest fastener tightness after the first session.
Connect the Two Core Shakers
Power off the amplifier before wiring. Keep polarity consistent so the tactile response feels predictable.
- Confirm the channel plan before connecting.
- Keep cable routes away from moving furniture joints.
- Do not wire unsupported loads.
- Contact support if you are unsure about the connection path.
Connect Audio / Signal Input
Use a compatible input source and begin with low-frequency content or a controlled tactile signal.
- Start with a clean low-level signal.
- Low-frequency content works best for tactile response.
- Do not rely on high-frequency audio for physical feedback.
- Keep amplifier level low before first testing.
First Power Test
Run the first test gradually before using the system at normal intensity.
- Start at low gain.
- Use a short test signal.
- Listen for rattling, buzzing or loose parts.
- Check heat and cable strain after several minutes.
- Stop testing if anything smells abnormal or becomes unusually hot.
Recommended Use Cases
Simulator Seat
For aluminum profile rigs, racing seats and rigid simulator frames.
Sofa / Theater Seating
For reinforced internal furniture frames where mounting access is available.
Custom Platform
For rigid wooden or metal platforms where structure and cable routing can be planned.
Mounting feasibility depends on the actual furniture structure.
What's Not Included
- Left / right audio speakers not included.
- Furniture or simulator frame not included.
- Final mounting hardware may vary by installation.
- 2.2 audio system is not included.
COMMON MISTAKES
Common Mistakes
- Treating Starter Kit as a speaker system.
- Mounting only to loose upholstery.
- Running high output before testing.
- Poor cable routing through moving furniture parts.
- Ignoring loose panels or decorative parts.
- Assuming every chair or sofa structure is suitable.
FAQ
Setup Questions
Does this kit include speakers?
No. The Starter Kit is tactile-only. Left and right speakers are part of the 2.2 Immersive System.
Can I use it for a simulator seat?
Yes, if the transducers are mounted to a rigid seat or frame structure.
Can I install it in a sofa?
Sometimes. It depends on the internal frame and mounting access. Do not mount only to fabric or foam.
Is this easier than buying separate components?
Yes. It is the recommended starter path for users who want amplifier + two Core Shakers together.
What should I do if something rattles?
Stop testing and inspect fasteners, loose panels, nearby decorative parts and cable contact points.
Ready to Add Physical Feedback?
Start with the matched amplifier and two-Core-Shaker package, or contact support if you are unsure about your structure.
